Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs. The Great Decisions program highlights eight or nine of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year.
Developed by the Foreign Policy Association—an independent, non-governmental organization—Great Decisions provides background information, current data, and policy options for each issue and serves as the focal text for discussion groups. This educational program brings people together to discover, discuss, and decide their opinions on foreign policy issues and is designed to encourage debate and discussion of important global issues of our time.
We are meeting eight consecutive Thursdays from February 11, 2016, to March 31, 2016, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Conference Room at Hacienda de las Flores. Each discussion stands alone, so it is not necessary to attend all nine meetings.
- March 10—Cuba and the U.S.
- March 17—The Koreas
- March 24—The United Nations
- March 31—Climate Change
Briefing books that contain the articles for discussion are needed by participants.
