We adopted Burckhalter Elementary School in 1993. We staff the library 2 days a week, Wednesday and Thursday. Burckhalter is located off Hwy 13 in Oakland. If you seek a volunteer opportunity that offers incredible rewards, please consider this opportunity.
- Students visit the library each week and we help them find books that interest them. Students are taught library and research skills. We maintain the book collection by using members donations to buy new books and supplies. Storytime read-alouds offer a variety of literature appreciation.
