SENIOR SCAMS and FRAUD
with Guest Speaker EMILY MILSTEIN
The Federal Trade Commission reports that consumers lost over $3 billion to fraud in 2022, double the 2021 amount. There was an opportunity to brainstorm how our communities, policy holders and other stakeholders can address these challenges.

The 2025 Distinguished Woman for AAUW-OML Lana Reichick was introduced.  She will be honored at our May luncheon.

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS and its IMPACT on the PROGRESS of WOMEN

Guest Speaker: Beth H. Parker, Esq.

Beth Parker will explore the history, progress and status of reproductive rights in the United States; important milestones; impact on economy, education and families; and to the extent available, legislative activity addressing these rights today.

Prenatal Equity Initiative: Addressing Racial Disparities
in Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes

The November General Meeting featured Faith Bennett, an AAUW Fellowship recipients speak about her doctoral studies at UC Davis as a 2024-25 National Fellow. Her excellent presentation reviewed some history I CA of Labor and Gender

The October General Meeting for Voting Information was conducted by AAUW-OML and the League of Women Voters, Diablo Valley. They reviewed 10 propositions on the November ballot to help us better understand the confusing ballot initiatives.


The September General Meeting “Showcase” was a great informational meeting to share the mission of AAUW National and our Branch Priorities for this coming year.  The branch fundraiser for this year was outlined and got off to a great start.  (Click to enlarge pics)
